Mark W. Brugger is the Co-Founder, President, Chief Executive Officer and a Director of DiamondRock Hospitality Company. Mr. Brugger co-founded the Company in 2004 and successfully led its initial public offering (IPO) on the New York Stock Exchange the following year. Mr. Brugger has received recognition for his work at DiamondRock, including being named to the Forbes list of America‘s Most Powerful CEOs 40 and Under and a finalist for the E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

Mr. Brugger has an extensive background in real estate, capital markets and structured finance, including as a former executive for Marriott International (NASDAQ: MAR). Mr. Brugger was the lead negotiator on several billion dollars of transactions while at Marriott and, when he was 31 years old, led the acquisition and was subsequently appointed CEO of Marriott‘s single largest non-hotel business unit by revenue.

Mr. Brugger has significant experience serving on and working with boards of directors. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of DiamondRock. In addition, he served as a director on the board of Chambers Street (NYSE: CSG). While on the Board, Mr. Brugger sat on the Audit and Compensation Committees. He was also on the Company‘s Board when it underwent an M&A process that lead to a successful merger with Gramercy Property Trust (NYSE: GPT).

Prior to Marriott, Brugger gained his real estate experience while working as a land developer with a multinational homebuilder, and as a commercial broker specializing in investment sales with a leading brokerage house in the Washington Metropolitan Area.

Mr. Brugger received his J.D. degree with honors from The Washington College of Law and a B.A. in philosophy from the University of Maryland. He is a member of the Maryland Bar. Mr. Brugger is also a member of the Urban Land Institute, Real Estate Round Table, YPO International, Marriott‘s Owner Advisory Council, and a Board Member of the American Hotel & Lodging Association.

Sean M. Mahoney is our Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer since September 1, 2008. Mr. Mahoney was recently named to the Institutional Investor 2017 All-America Executive Team. Previously, he served as our Senior Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer and Corporate Controller from his hiring in August 2004 until September 1, 2008. Previously, Mr. Mahoney served as a senior manager with Ernst & Young LLP in McLean, Virginia. During 2002 and 2003, Mr. Mahoney served as Director in the Dublin, Ireland audit practice of KPMG, LLP. From 1993 to 2001, Mr. Mahoney worked in the audit practice of Arthur Andersen LLP. Mr. Mahoney received a B.S. from Syracuse University in 1993.

William J. Tennis is our Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary since January 2010. Previously, Mr. Tennis worked for Marriott International, Inc. and its related entities for 17 years from 1992 to 2009, initially as Assistant General Counsel in the Law Department and then as Senior Vice President responsible for the Global Asset Management Group. Prior to joining Marriott, Mr. Tennis was an associate in law firms in New York. Mr. Tennis received a Juris Doctorate from New York University School of Law in 1981 and a B.A. magna cum laude from Harvard College in 1976.

Troy G. Furbay is our Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer since April 9, 2014. Previously, Mr. Furbay served as Chief Investment Officer at Loews Hotels & Resorts for four years. Prior to joining Loews, Mr. Furbay was Senior Vice President, Acquisitions and Development at Kimpton Hotels for nine years and prior to that he served in a variety of positions with hospitality companies. Mr. Furbay received a M.B.A. from Fordham University in 1995.

Thomas Healy is our Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of Asset Management since January 2017. Previously, Mr. Healy worked at Strategic Hotels and Resorts since 2006 and most recently served as EVP/Co-Head of Asset Management, a role in which he had oversight responsibility for the asset management function for both owned assets and third-party contracts and worked with both internal and external partners to drive asset value. In this position, he had shared responsibility for the strategic and tactical execution for over 20 hotels generating $1.3 billion in revenue and $360 million EBITDA in 2015 across North America. Prior to Strategic Hotels and Resorts, Mr. Healy served in various corporate and property operational roles for Starwood Hotels & Resorts and Hyatt Hotels & Resorts. He worked in both hotel operations as General Manager in multiple assets as well as working at the corporate office for Starwood in Development. He has received recognition for his efforts and was awarded “Turnaround Hotel of the Year” for Westin Hotels & Resorts and Regional New Build Award for his opening of the Sheraton Overland Park and Conference Center. Mr. Healy is an alumnus of Johnson & Wales University where he earned a BS in Hospitality Management and he earned a Masters with Distinction (MSc) in Hospitality and Tourism Leadership from the University of Strathclyde Business School, Cornell University and Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne.

Briony R. Quinn currently serves as our Chief Accounting Officer and Corporate Controller.

Ms. Quinn joined the Company in June 2007 as its Vice President and Assistant Corporate Controller and was promoted to Vice President and Corporate Controller in September 2008. Prior to joining the Company, Ms. Quinn was the Vice President, Finance and Accounting at MeriStar Hospitality Corporation. Ms. Quinn has a broad range of professional experience, including positions at Arthur Andersen LLP and Beers + Cutler. Ms. Quinn is a certified public accountant and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Providence College.
